Battered and bruised Jaime Laing is rushed to hospital with cracked ribs after taking part in charity Rugby Aid match

He called it the best day of his life but Jamie Laing may have spoken too soon because he was rushed to hospital with cracked ribs after taking part in Rugby Aid on Friday.

The Made In Chelsea star put his all into the Rugby Aid For Heroes 2015 match at Twickenham, teaming up with fellow celebrity pals Harry Judd and Gaz Beadle for the good cause.

But despite his determination, Jamie was left looking battered and bruised by the end of the game, tweeting: 'But after a massive match this is where I end up... On my way to hospital.'

He'd been counting down the days until he got to run on the pitch with former England captain Mike Tindall, but it all ended badly for Jamie, who was rushed to hospital straight after his match appearance.

Still adamant that it was one of the best days of his life, Jamie couldn't resist posting an image of him laying topless in a hospital bed, looking rather teary eyed and exhausted after his long evening.

He captioned the image: 'This is the price you pay for putting your body on the line for your country... Loved every moment,' as he appeared to enjoy taking on the role of an injured sportsman.

Almost preempting his diagnosis, Jamie shared a photo of him via Snapchat on gas and air, as he professed to not liking hospitals in the sad-looking post.

Jamie, who's been caught up in a love triangle with US beauty Nars Gharai and former lover Jess Woodley in Made In Chelsea: LA, looked as though he had a black eye and other painful injuries after playing in the rugby match.

But despite ending the day in hospital, the reality star had earned the respect of Former International Rugby Player Richard Hill, who called Jamie his man of the match in one dedicated tweet.
