Kate Garraway, 48, dresses up a pair of youthful dungarees with glamorous black heels as steps out for late launch

It was the gala evening to celebrate the launch of Danger Mouse on CBBC, so naturally Kate Garraway was feeling youthful.

The 48-year-old tried this summer's top trend and stepped out in a pair of denim dungarees on Friday night as London's Ham Yard Hotel hosted the launch.

Good Morning Britain presenter Kate showed off a wide grin with her hands in her pockets as she finished off the image with a pair of dressy black heels.

Kate was in the perfect attire to be Danger Mouse's new counterpart and looked cute as she was embraced by the life size red carpet cartoon character.

She was well groomed with her hair in blown out curls and a recent colour giving her hair a glossy finish.

Teasing the character about his official age, she wrote on Twitter: 'How cool is this! He's looking good at 34! #dangermouse is back sept 28 @CBBC - having fun @DangerMouseHQ premiere'

Kate wasn't the only one showing she was a big fan of the cartoon character, because stage star Denise Van Outen was there with a thumbs up.

Luckily, the blonde had a little excuse in the form of sweet five-year-old daughter Betsy.

The pair both held hands as they hit the relaunch together, Denise looking playful in a pineapple top and skinny jeans.

The actress was looking giddy to be out with her little best friend and they both posed playfully on the yellow carpet.

Betsy was looking sweet in summer sandals with a drop waist dress, clearly well-versed in how to be stylish like her mum.

Denise and Kate weren't the only stars to attend because Dame Kelly Holmes was also bringing her kids along for the fun event.
