  • Status Check for Diversity Visa ("Visa Lottery") Entries

    DV-2016 Entrants may enter their confirmation information through the link below. The DV-2016 registration period opened on October 1, 2014, and closed on November 3, 2014. DV-2016 Entrants should keep their confirmation number until at least June 30, 2016. DV-2015 Entrants (those who entered the DV lottery between October 1, 2013 and November 2, 2013) have until September 30, 2015 to check the status of their entry.  DV Entrant Status Check »

  • Amsterdam: Proof of Payment to Be Required for Entry at the Consulate

    Starting September 1, 2015, anyone wishing to enter the Consulate General to apply for a non-immigrant visa must submit physical proof that they paid the requisite visa fee. Without such proof, such as a receipt from GSS, you will not be allowed into the Consulate General to apply for the visa and will be turned around. 

  • Tel Aviv: Grant Opportunities for English Language Enrichment

    The Public Diplomacy Section of the U.S. embassy announces the availability of grant funding to conduct a program on English Language Enrichment and American Culture at the American Center Jerusalem for specific target groups of Israelis seeking to improve their English language skills. The deadline for submission of proposals is September 6, 2015. 

  • Port Moresby: 40 on 40 - Celebrating Papua New Guinea Independence

    The U.S. Embassy in Port Moresby is commemorating the 40th anniversary of Papua New Guinea’s independence and the relations between Americans and Papua New Guineans by sharing forty reflections from forty people over a forty day countdown to Independence Day on September 16, 2015. 

  • Buenos Aires: Free English for Journalists Program

    The U.S. Embassy in Argentina is sponsoring a free English training program for journalists. The courses are offered in three formats for elementary and intermediate levels in the form of two 10-week modules during the year. Working journalists, and journalism or communications students in their last year of studies are eligible to apply. Applicants must have elementary-intermediate English skills.
