Sophie, who has spent time in the US for her career, is returning to her acting roots with her new flick, which is a remake of director Herschell Gordon Lewis' 1963 film Blood Feast.

The original film followed the story line of a caterer, Egyptian Fuad Ramses, who ends up in the US and killing people for a goddess.

Herschell also directed a 2002 sequel called Blood Feast 2: All U Can Eat.

The remake is set to be similar to the first movie but the characters will be living in France.

Sophie, who was previously in the female band Bardot, last appeared in the 2011 comedy flick Dorfman in Love.

She's also appeared in the TV series Entourage in 2007 and according to IMDb will star in the film Spring Break '83.
