Dressed for the Twilight! Taylor Lautner wears all black ensemble as he enjoys dinner date in Hollywood

His most famous role so far has been playing werewolf Jacob Black in the Twilight saga.

And when Taylor Lautner hit the town on Friday for dinner in West Hollywood, he seemed to have been influenced by the film franchise in his choice of dress.

The former teen heartthrob kept everything very simple, sporting some distressed black leather shoes, pseudo-skinny black pants, a black t-shirt and black ball cap.

His somewhat unkempt facial hair was a departure from his usual clean cut look.

He arrived alone, with no entourage or female friends in tow.

Of some interest was the logo on his shirt for Project Bayview.

According to their site, Project Bayview 'is a 2 year biblical based transitional housing program; offering life on life mentorship, basic life-skill, and career development.'

Very little is known about the star's views on religion, but the shirt should raise some new questions.

Taylor's last movie to drop was the indie drama Run the Tide back in 2014.

His next role is in the controversial Adam Sandler film The Ridiculous 6, due out on December 11th.

He's pictured below, in costume, several months ago in an Instagram post from the set.

The Netflix original film has been plagued with setbacks, including the walk-off of dozens of native American actors over concerns about unrepentant racism in the script.
