He has great genes! Hunky Ballers star John David Washington is none other than Denzel Washington's son
He looks super hunky when he pulls on his NFL strip for HBO hit series Ballers.
And it's hardly surprising. The red hot 5ft 10ins actor who plays pro-football star Ricky Jerret is none other than Denzel Washington's son, John David Washington.
He co-stars as the handsome but troubled athlete with the charismatic Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson as a retired pro-turned-financial adviser.

Hot to trot: Dwayne Johnson and Denzel Washington's handsome son John David, in HBO's Ballers
HBO's Ballers wrapped its first season on August 23, claiming the network's best ratings for a comedy series in a decade, according to The Daily News.
And a good part of the success must be due to the bevy of hot on-field eye candy, including the gorgeous John David.
He plays a volatile receiver for the Green Bay Packers who is looking to find stability as he embarks on the final years of his career.
In fact, Ballers is art imitating life for the handsome 31-year-old who had a brief stint in the NFL as a running back for the St. Louis Rams in the 2006-2007 season as an undrafted free agent.
Spot the family likeness: John David is the image of his famous dad. They were pictured at a Los Angeles Lakers vs Miami Heat game at the Staples Center on January 11, 2009 in Los Angeles
Star quality: The star is no doubt delighted his son is following in his footsteps - he is pictured here at the screening of The Equalizer in 2007
It didn’t work out for him in the NFL, but he went on to play in the European Football League for Germany’s Hamburg Sea Devils followed by four years for the California Redwoods in the United Football League until it folded in 2012, according to pajiba.com
And that, no doubt, is how he built his fabulous body, which makes him perfect for the HBO show that bowed on June 21.
Ballers was renewed for a second season on July 10 long before the first season wrapped its 10 30-minute episodes.

The former athlete first appeared on the big screen as a student in 1992's Malcolm X, in which his 60-year-old father portrayed the civil rights leader.
Aside from Ballers, John David is building his acting career. His next film, Coco, directed by RZA, is presently in post production. It follows an aspiring hip-hop artist who discovers the world of slam poetry.
It's the second turn as director for the 46-year-old hip-hop star, whose real name is Robert Diggs, after 2011's The Man With The Iron Fists.
