- Redefining his rock n roll sense of luxury, Danny enjoyed the relaxed dress-code and freedom at both resorts
- Newly-wed couple enjoyed spa treatments, cooking lessons and went snorkelling and canoeing in the Indian Ocean
You know you've got it right when your room smells amazing, the air conditioning is freezing cold and you have your own swing chairs overlooking the ocean - it feels like an absolute dream.
My wife Georgia and I spent our honeymoon in the Maldives.
I'd never been to the Maldives before and had worried that it would be like a good movie that people talk up and then when you watch it it isn't as good, but the Maldives did not disappoint.

McBusted and former McFly vocalist and guitarist Danny Jones described his Maldives honeymoon as 'mind blowing'
We flew with Virgin in first class which was unbelievable. Words can't describe the Maldives once it comes into view, you have to experience it, go and look and see just how beautiful it is.
For our first stop on our honeymoon, we were picked up and transferred to Naladhu Maldives by boat where we were welcomed by the sight of dolphins.
Then we were specially greeted by staff with drummers playing music and were given flower garlands and drinks which made it all feel really special.
During our time at Naladhu we didn't see anyone else - it was absolute paradise.
The Water Pavilion with Pool at Niyama Per Aquum allows guests to take a dip while gazing out to the Indian Ocean
The sights were so mind blowing that I definitely want to go back. If I were to die anywhere I'd die there, the Maldives would be the last place on earth I chose.
The great thing about the Maldives is it's so relaxed, you don't even have to wear shoes. I didn't wear my flipflops either for two weeks, just shorts and T-shirts which makes it so much better.
I don't like to wear smart trousers or to have set times for meals. You want total freedom when you're on holiday, which we had.
Ultimate privacy: The Beach Pool Suite at Niyama allows couple's to wake up to the sea and sunbathe in their own enclosed area
Newly wedded bliss: Danny and Georgia take a boat trip during their stay which gave them the freedom to follow their own itinerary
We visited in monsoon season and had a few days of not as good weather but it was still beautiful so didn't matter.
We had a week of sun and went for a romantic walk on the beach in the rain.
Our room was super private with our own decking area, a bathroom outside and a natural waterfall shower.
We walked over paving stones, with water skimming over our footsteps to an infinity dipping pool, it was incredible.
Family affair: Not only honeymooners can stay at Niyama Per Aquum which has a beach Pool Family Suite for bigger groups to stay
The water studio has a contemporaty interior with Maldivian accents and decorative flourishes
While the couple were there they went swimming and canoeing to a nearby island and saw baby sharks and stingrays
They were able to dine on the beach and felt as though they had all of Niyama Per Aquum to themselves
When our honeymoon rolled around we were at a time in our lives where I had just been on a big tour with McBusted and it was the first time I could have two weeks off.
We slept a lot and my brain stopped for the first time in about 10 years.
We were in the spa every other day which was in a hut over the sea looking down into the water. I had a sports massage, reflexology and an Indian head massage.
Enticing waters: The Crescent Beach at Niyama Per Aquum is ideal for snorkelling and exploring the shallow waters for sea life
Ultimate privacy is assured as guests can swim in their own pool and relax on decking connected to their room
The waterhut bathroom encourages guests to linger in the tub and look out to the Indian Ocean
You could do whatever you wanted, whenever you wanted to at Naladhu.
While we were there we went swimming and canoeing to a nearby island and saw baby sharks and stingrays. There was one little island and three big islands. The big island was for staff and families while we stayed on an adults only exclusive island.
People staying on all three islands could access one bar that you can only get to by canoeing or swimming to it.
The singer and model had never visited the Maldives before and weren't disappointed with their honeymoon destination choice

Danny and Georgia had a cooking lesson during their stay and created a Massaman beef curry
Local flavours: For dessert the duo learned how to create mango squares with sweet coconut rice
Our island wasn't even big enough to have a bike so we went to the gym every morning or ran around the island before our champagne breakfast.
I'd never been one to indulge in a champagne breakfast before but we had it for breakfast every day when we were there and I get it now.
We'd start the day with crispy bacon, poached eggs, porridge and waffles which were all delicious.
Sampling the fruits of their labour, Danny and Georgia enjoyed the Asian cuisine served during their stay
Lively chefs entertain diners that perch around the Nest Teppan bar at Niyama
Into the wild: Diners can eat under the stars at Nest which also features tribal pods, set back from the beach
During the stay we had cooking lessons in a restaurant on the pier.
We love all kinds of Asian cuisine and learned to cook up a deep fried fish and mango soup followed by a slow cooked beef Massaman curry with loads of garlic, coconut and potatoes.
I go and try the Massaman curry now everywhere but they're never as good as the one we had in the Maldives. We then created mango squares with sweet coconut rice.
Solitude is bliss: The one bedroom beach suite offers a discreet retreat for guests to Niyama
Unforgettable escape: Danny felt like the honeymoon was the first time in 10 years where he could truly relax
We spent six nights at Naladhu and five nights at Niyama Per Aquum.
To get to Niyama we had to take a seaplane, I'm not the best flyer in the world even though i have to fly for my job and we were on this eight-seater plane, and as we were leaving a monsoon swept in.
We had to drop to five different islands along the way because of the weather. The monsoon didn't get any better as we finally came in to land and I'll admit it was the scariest landing I've ever had in my life.
Guests arrive at Naladhu by boat, on arrival the pair were welcomed with cocktails, flower garlands and drummers playing music
The Beach House at Naladhu is one of the accommodations to choose from on the three islands
Honeymoon suite: At Naladhu, Danny said 'I'd sit on the swing chair overlooking the Indian Ocean, newly married and thinking life couldn't get any better.'

Niyama had a totally different feel. It was a bigger island and felt more modern.
We used bikes to get around. It had a some great restaurants and the chance to do water sports on it.
We went to the underwater bar and you can sit above it and watch the sunset.
A relaxed, rustic restaurant was enjoyed by the pair as they didn't feel restricted or as though they would have to dress for dinner
Wedded bliss: Georgia and Danny would both like to return to the Maldives for another visiting after being captivated by it during their stay
'It felt like our own island,' explained Danny Jones after staying for 11 nights at the two Maldivian resorts
Our beach room had an infinity pool leading on to the beach with an area to swim there. We had our own place to sunbathe which was like having a mini villa.
The thing with it being our honeymoon is that it was a magical time to enjoy each others company, just sit on the beach, have a glass of wine and some dinner. It felt like our own island
I brought my guitar with me and played a bit in my room. I've always got to play a little it's an addiction and two weeks would have been too long not to play. So I'd sit on the swing chair overlooking the Indian Ocean, newly married and thinking life couldn't get any better.
