Brown's Valley Cemetery

This cemetery is about 12 miles east of Marysville, past the intersection of Hwy. 20 and Marysville-Dobbins road. Going toward Nevada City on Hwy 20, turn left on B.V. School road. It is the first paved road on the left immediately after you see the Sycamore Ranch Campground sign on the right. Not far down the road on the right will be the cemetery.

The Daily Appeal - Jun 3, 1910, pate 5 - The citizens of Browns Valley have organized an association to be known as the Browns Valley Cemetery Association, for the purpose of fencing and improving the cemetery. The following officers have been elected: Byron Burris, Jr., President - Miss Josie Hibbert, Vice-President - Mrs. Ella Porter, Secretary - Browns Valley Mercantile Co., Treasurer - Business Committee, B. F. Gundry, Byron Burris, Sr., J. D. Peiratt, Mrs. Ella Hall, Mrs. Tillie Hopkins, Mrs. Ella Porter.
