It was a show that seemed to be a big risk.

But it has clearly paid off for Lifetime after the station decided to renew Little Women: LA for another season due to its sky high ratings.

They made the decision despite the fact the programme's season finale has not even aired yet.

It follows longtime friends and rivals Terra Jole, Tonya Banks, Elena Gant, Christy McGinity, Briana Manson and Traci Harrison.

The programme shows their highs and lows as they laugh, cry and and compete together, with their shared bond, which sees them trying to prove height is just a number, making then stick together through thick and thin.

Deadline revealed the decision had been made to pick up the show for another series in the run up to next Tuesday's climactic final episode.

It was an easy one to make, as since its May 27th launch it has has seen a 66 per cent leap in total viewers compared to its premiere.

It has also seen a 104 per cent increase in Women in the lucrauve 18 to 49 age range, and an impressive 95 per cent gain among Adults of that age.

Additionally, it has also shot up by 87 per cent in females aged 25 to 54 and by 79 per cent in total Adults among that age group.

The show's most recent episode also reached a series high  of 1.4 million total viewers.
