Toy story: The childlike Lego jewellery... that comes with a grown-up price tag

This is surely the ultimate in kitsch jewellery.

Lego has been developed into jewellery by designer Lisa Taylor, as part of Selfridges new range aimed at ‘kidults’.

But the prices are adult-sized. Silver rings, each featuring an interchangeable Lego brick, cost £50.

There are also 23 Lego charms which attach to the ring, including Christmas trees, gardens and flowers.

And while they might have the appearance of something that’s tumbled out of a Christmas cracker, they cost an additional £15 to £20 each.

The range is part of Selfridges' playtime-themed Christmas collection - but there's no need to wait until winter because they go on sale this month.

Lego nail varnish will also be on offer, as well as a Play-Doh-scented perfume to complete your trip down memory lane.

Better write that letter to Santa now and start being a very good girl indeed...
