Mohammad Yousuf stumped by UK visa application as Pakistan sweat on batting reinforcements

Recall: Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Yousuf
Pakistan's hopes of providing England's bowlers with stiffer resistance in the second Test at Edgbaston remain in the balance as veteran batsman Mohammad Yousuf continued to sweat over his application for a UK visa.
The 35-year-old former skipper, who announced his international retirement in March after being handed a life ban by the Pakistan Cricket Board following his captaincy of the disastrous tour of Australia, had been hoping to collect his documents from the British High Commission in Islamabad on Tuesday.
Although Yousuf could still arrive in England on Wednesday, the Pakistan selectors may not risk him in for the second Test, which starts on Friday.
