That looks painful! Rachel Zoe reveals a cold sore on her lip as she stocks up on baby clothes

As a stylist, she's all about image.

But even Rachel Zoe isn't immune to an irritating cold sore.

The 42-year-old fashionista didn't let the reddish mark on her lower lip stop her from stepping out for some shopping fun at Bel Bambini in Beverly Hills on Wednesday.

Rachel nevertheless lived up her chic reputation by donning a draping black sweater, a patterned ivory scarf and her preferred black suede platform boots.

Her blonde hair with its blunt-edged bangs shone in the sun as she strolled down the sidewalk armed with her new purchases.

Judging by the number of shopping bags, Rachel got some relief from her sore lip by dropping a tidy sum on baby clothes and other essentials at the Robertson Boulevard boutique.

Cold sores, also called fever blisters, can be very painful but usually clear up within several days.

Rachel did her best to camouflage hers by wearing her signature large-framed sunglasses and perhaps just a touch of rose-tinted lip balm. 

The celebrity stylist only gave birth to her second son Kaius eight weeks ago and seemed in superb shape already.

Rachel was slender and carried herself with ease even while lugging three shopping bags and her large black leather tote. 

On Friday, Rachel was seen treating her first-born son Skyler, two, to Valentine's Day dinner at the popular Craig's restaurant in West Hollywood.

Skyler couldn't be more thrilled to have his mom all to himself again, as Rachel decided to let her husband of 18 years Roger Berman sit with their new baby at home.
