Chewing nervously on her finger, a little girl looks shyly at Zara Phillips as she hands the royal a sparkly sticker that says 'Today I feel like a princess'.
Two-year-old Matilda Wren, from Lincolnshire, presented the Olympic equestrian with the gift when she stopped to speak to her at the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials in Stamford, Lincolnshire.
While Zara Phillips has previously competed in the prestigious four-day event, this year the royal was on hand to judge the hotly-contested picnic competition.

As a member of the royal family, she might have enjoyed some of the world's finest dining, but today Zara looked just as happy to snack as she tucked into cakes, pies and wine at the country gathering.
The 34-year-old met Matilda when she stopped to judge one entry to the contest, sitting down next to the little girl and other children in the back of a Land Rover.
Zara, whose daughter, Mia, is 20 months old, was happy to chat with the young children, and was seen carefully placing Matilda's sticker on the shoulder of her navy blue jacket.
The sticker featured one of the 'Little Miss' characters, alongside the words 'Today I feel like a princess'. Zara, who is 16th-in-line to the throne, holds no aristocratic title.

The royal, who is married to Rugby Union star Mike Tindall, spent the day judging entries to the picnic competition alongside ex-England rugby player Martin Corry.
The pair visited some half-a-dozen picnics, judging the entries on the quality of their spread and the attractiveness of their table set-up.
For the second year running, two women, Lucy Sharpley and Laura Horrell, were named as winners, with Mr Corry praising their 'amazing' homemade sausage rolls.
Later in the day, Zara showed her sporting talents extend beyond horseriding - as confidently spinning a rugby ball through the air.
Furry friend: Zara was walking past one Land Rover when she spotted this dog in the boot and had to stop
Getting close: The friendly pooch appeared more than happy to be petted by Zara, who has dogs of her own
