Party like a prince: Harry's naked escapades see Las Vegas holiday enquiries boom

While Buckingham Palace may well be giving the third in line to the throne a dressing down today, tour operators are celebrating what they are calling 'The Prince Harry Effect'.

Virgin Holidays has reported a 30 per cent spike in interest for Las Vegas holidays compared to a week ago, thanks to the now-infamous pictures of Prince Harry partying hard with nubile blondes and a distinct lack of clothing.

Since the prince touched down in Sin City, the Las Vegas page has been the most visited on the Virgin Holidays website as Britons look to follow in his flash footsteps.

Prince Harry's Vegas frolics have led to a 30% rise in holiday enquiries from holidaymakers hoping to have as much fun

Apparently the holiday was billed by those who took part with the prince as ‘road trip to end all road trips’ and it seems everyone wants to join in, creating their own blow-out break.

Virgin are so grateful for the Prince's positive influence that they are offering a special package cater made for him

Fun in the sun: Sin City has been portrayed as the ultimate party hotspot

Virgin Holidays has responded to demand by offering a 10 per cent discount on packages to the city if bought on Friday, Saturday or Sunday this week.

The day after Prince Harry's much-publicised billiards game, Virgin also claims it sent a 'care package' to the Wynn hotel where he was staying, containing an energy drink, sunglasses, swimming trunks ('apparently he has lost his...'), factor 50 sun cream and a free billiard lesson ('hopefully this will put a stop to him losing his clothes').

The tour operator - which is known for its Rockstar Service - said it wanted the prince to party and recover in true Rockstar fashion.

The young Royal's 'lost week' is reminiscent of the 2009 film The Hangover, which tracked an out-of-control stag party taking place in Sin City and prompted a boom in tourism as groups of holidaymakers aimed to recreate the hedonistic scenes.

While it is by no means a new destination to visit, Las Vegas' popularity is long-standing and still attracts A-listers and even sports stars.

British Airways recently questioned British Olympians about where they were going to relax after the stress of the Games and the favoured destination was Las Vegas.
