David Beckham has been honoured with the Legend of Football Award at the 20th Anniversary HMV Football Extravaganza.
The Manchester United and Real Madrid great, and global icon, was announced as the latest holder of the award by Football Extravaganza Committee members.
Beckham, 40, picked up his trophy at an event held at The Grosvenor House Hotel in London on Tuesday, in which funds for music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins were raised.

Giggs picked up the award last year, and the pair are in good company with former boss Sir Alex Ferguson being awarded in 2005
This year's event was held in celebration of 20 years of football combining with fundraising, and raised almost £7million for Nordoff Robbins, enabling them to provide tens of thousands of music therapy sessions for some of the UK's most isolated and vulnerable people.
During those 20 years, Beckham has won 17 major trophies in a glittering career at Manchester United, Real Madrid, LA Galaxy, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain, at the same time solidifying his status as one of the most recognisable men on the planet.
Twice runner-up as FIFA World Player of the Year, Beckham was the first English player to win league titles in four countries - England, Spain, United States, and France; he is also the most capped outfield player in the history of the English game with 115 international appearances.
In addition, 'DB7' is the only Englishman to score in three different World Cups, despite plying his trade in midfield. He retired at the end of the 2012-13 season with a Ligue 1 title under his belt at PSG.
On being honoured with the Legend of Football Award, Beckham said: 'I'm incredibly honoured to be receiving this Award. When you look at the list of the previous recipients, I feel very fortunate to be considered alongside them. More importantly the night is about recognising the fantastic work that Nordoff Robbins does, and raising funds for their vital work.'
Beckham is in esteemed company with Brian Clough OBE, Sir Bobby Robson CBE, Sir Bobby Charlton CBE, Sir Alex Ferguson CBE, Alan Shearer OBE, Eric Cantona, Jose Mourinho, Pele and Ryan Giggs OBE among the past winners of the award.
Football players and managers came out in force for the ceremony with Giggs, Jamie Carragher, Sol Campbell, Glenn Hoddle, Alan Pardew, Sam Allardyce and Sean Dyche all in attendance.
Earlier on Tuesday, Beckham Instagrammed an image of himself kissing his second eldest son Romeo on the head, alongside the caption, 'My little man turns 13 today .. Into his teens and still an Arsenal fan lol... Happy birthday beautiful boy.'
Romeo's mother and David's wife, Victoria, posted a similar social media photograph, with the words, 'Happy birthday baby boy. We r all so proud and love you so, so much. x... 13 today!!!! X mummy.'
