British pair Jamie Murray and Dominic Inglot both reach US Open men's double quarter-finals

Jamie Murray and Dominic Inglot showed some timely signs of form ahead of the Davis Cup semi-finals as both reached the quarter-finals of the US Open men's doubles with their respective partners on Sunday. Murray and Australian partner John Peers are now a formidable partnership and the eighth seeds cruised through with a 6-4, 6-4 victory against Austrian Philipp Oswald and Canada's Adil Shamasdin. Earlier in the day, Inglot and Swedish partner Robert Lindstedt picked up an impressive 6-4, 6-3 win against the experienced pair of German Tommy Haas and Czech Radek Stepanek.
