Moment alleged subway groper jumps onto high voltage tracks to escape arrest

Video shows an alleged subway pervert make a daring and dangerous escape from New York police by jumping across two sets of railway tracks to get to the other platform.

The desperate groper, who reportedly rubbed up against a woman at 68th Street Subway station, is seen to plead with a plain-clothes police officer to let him go and then bolts before the officer has a chance to react.

Running and jumping down from the platform onto the tracks, gasps can be heard from onlookers as the man stumbles across the two sets of tracks missing the high voltage third-rail twice during his risky getaway.

Upon reaching the other side of the platform, the man pulls himself up and begins to run down the platform while the police officer barks instructions into his walkie-talkie.

As the man disappears out of view down the platform, the officer dressed in shorts begins to run too.

Despite the video being posted online, it is not known whether the police caught the man or if he made a getaway after his risky escape.

This video emerges one month after outraged subway passengers dragged an alleged groper from a train and pinned him to the ground until police arrived.

The two minute video begins with a woman accusing a man, identified as Victor Sigler, 30, of grabbing her while at a stop in Brooklyn.

Sigler, from the Bronx, New York, then tried to escape notice by slipping off the G train and jumping onto another on the L line.

But the enraged 35-year-old woman chased him and began screaming about his alleged crime, the New York Post reported.

A passenger then reached for his cellphone to begin recording.
