'My crib is almost finished in AFRICA!' 50 Cent reveals palatial new overseas home... as he struggles to unload Connecticut mansion after bankruptcy filing

It seems 50 Cent is planning on moving overseas.

The 40-year-old, who is embroiled in bankruptcy proceedings in the States, revealed on Saturday that he was building a new house somewhere in Africa.

'My crib is almost finished in AFRICA,' he wrote on Instagram, with a video showing the home's exterior.

'I'm gonna have the craziest House warming party ever. I'll explain later. I got a good life Man.'

The new home comes as 50 Cent struggles to unload a multi-million dollar estate in Connecticut while countering $24million in lawsuits with a bankruptcy filing.

In the video, a two-story, brown and white home is visible, surrounded by tropical trees.

As workers sweep floors and apparently engage in various construction tasks, the footage pans across a moss-green swimming pool and expansive paved area.

50 Cent did not reveal where in Africa this house was, nor did he say how he had paid for its construction.

The rapper's stateside home in Farmington, Connecticut - an $8.5 million mansion once owned by boxer Mike Tyson - is not faring so well, with 50 Cent reportedly trying to sell or lease it.

In the meantime, TMZ reported that the rapper had asked the court's permission to pay $72,000 in monthly expenses to keep up the lavish property.

Those costs include a mortgage, gardening, electricity, trash removal, Internet, cable, water, and phone service.

Thanks to hit records and a string of savvy business decisions, 50 Cent has long been listed as one of the wealthiest rappers in the industry.

He has had investments and endorsement deals with Vitaminwater, Coca-Cola, Reebok, Right Guard, and - most recently - Effen Vodka.

Despite this, 50 Cent filed for bankruptcy this summer after a pair of legal judgments against him.

In July, the rapper - real name Curtis Jackson III - was ordered to pay $7 million to Lastonia Leviston for a sex tape posted online without her consent.

Court documents assert that 50 Cent bought the video from Lastonia's sex partner and added derogatory voiceover narration.

This ruling came shortly after the rapper was ordered to pay $17 million to Sleek Audio, thanks to a ruling that 50 Cent's G-Unit Records had copied a headphone design.

The rapper promptly filed for bankruptcy, listing assets of almost $25 million and debt of over $32 million.

He was still ordered to pay damages in his lawsuits.
