Chloë Grace Moretz surprised her mother Teri by taking her to day six of the US Open Tennis Championships in Manhattan Saturday.

'OMG...we are at the U.S. open!!!! Best surprise of my life! Thank you @chloegmoretz!' the divorced nurse and 'avid tennis bum' captioned her selfie.

Two years ago, the 18-year-old ingénue mysteriously asked her Twitter followers to 'please pray for my mama,' who had battled cancer when Chloë was 10.

The Dark Places starlet donned a brown-patterned blazer, ripped skinny jeans, and Converse sneakers for her sporty outing.

Moretz gave her blonde locks a big boost with clip-in hair extensions, and she covered her minimally made-up face with black shades.

This week, Sony Pictures Entertainment released both the poster and the trailer for the action movie, which is based on the 2013 YA novel by Rick Yancey.

Ron Livingston, Liev Schreiber, and Maika Monroe also appear in The 5th Wave, which hits US theaters January 15 and UK theaters January 22.

Moretz is no stranger to physical roles having taken action in flicks like Kick-Ass, Hugo, Let Me In, and The Equalizer.
