Chris Brown hires extra bodyguards and increases security to prove he can keep daughter Royalty safe in custody bid

Chris Brown is not playing around when it comes to the safety of his daughter, Royalty.

The 26-year-old singer has reportedly beefed up security on all fronts during his current One Hell Of A Night tour.

According to TMZ, Chris has hired five new bodyguards and has severely limited backstage access at his shows.

The impetus for all of this change is believed to be Royalty, Chris's one-year-old daughter with Nia Guzman.

Over the past few months, Chris and Nia have been embroiled in a custody dispute over the child, who was conceived during a fling between the two.

Chris has filed for joint custody of the little girl but has faced criticism from Nia about Royalty's security, especially following a violent home invasion at the singer's house on July 15.

No tolerance: The singer's One Hell Of A Night tour has hired five new bodyguards, while Chris informed dancers, crew, and his entourage that violence would mean being out

Legal causes: Locked in a custody dispute with Royalty's mother, Nia Guzman, Chris (above in May) has been accused of providing an unsafe environment

Because of this, Chris has reportedly insisted that no violence or robberies happen on his tour.

Crew, dancers, and Chris' entourage were also warned that any violations of the new rules would get them set home immediately.

Chris and Nia are due in court to dispute custody issues in mid-September - the baby's mother currently has primary custody, while Chris has visitation rights.

Problems at home: A July 15 home invasion reportedly prompted Nia's concerns - she has primary custody

Baby mama: Nia, who conceived Royalty during a fling with Chris, is seeking to keep full custody and to win increased child support from the girl's father

In addition to Nia claiming Chris could endanger their daughter, Chris has recently charged that Royalty is in danger from Nia's alleged live-in boyfriend, King Ba.

King Ba - real name Brazil Riesling - is listed as the father on Royalty's birth certificate and is reportedly wanted by police for forgery.

Meanwhile, Nia has claimed that Chris might put Royalty in harm's way, that he or his friends might use drugs in her presence, and that violent acquaintances of the singer might endanger the girl.

Another problem: Chris countered Nia's claims by alleging that her boyfriend, King Ba (above) was a wanted criminal and a danger to Royalty

Chris has denied Royalty had ever been exposed to either drugs or violent individuals.

'[Nia] thinks many of Chris' friends are gang members or gang-affiliated, and the robbery shows they've now turned on Chris,' a source told TMZ in July.

The hit singer's string of arrests for assault over the years - including a conviction for domestic abuse toward then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 - have not increased Nia's confidence.

As for Chris, he has seemed ready to embrace the addition of a daughter to his life, mentioning Royalty in an acceptance speech at the BET Awards on June 28.

'A lot has changed in my life. A lot of mistakes, a lot of lessons learned. Best thing I'm most thankful for is my daughter,' Chris told the crowd at the Microsoft Theater.

Chris publicly confirmed he was Royalty's father with an Instagram post in April - his then-girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, broke up with the singer because of it.
