She is regularly seen leaving the gym or one of her favourite SoulCycle workouts.

And Busy Philipps' hard work is paying off.

The 35-year-old showed off her slender frame in a summery denim frock as she stepped out solo in West Hollywood on Tuesday.

The mother-of-two displayed her legs in the polka-dot dress, which featured a flare at the hem.

She paired the dress with white Birkenstock sandals and quirky pale yellow sunglasses.

Busy went without make-up and wore her blonde hair loose and wavy as she carried a gift-wrapped package after stopping by a store.

Busy is mother to daughters Cricket, one, and five-year-old Birdie with her husband of seven years, Marc Silverstein.

Busy recently posted an Instagram shot of the birthday cake she and Birdie made together, decorated with Elmo's smiling face, proudly saying: 'Birdie helped me by punching out all the letters & stars from fondant- she said "I think I'm gonna be good at cakes like you when I'm old". Ha!'

She also went into technical details about the cake for anyone who wants to recreate it, saying: 'I used the Elmo face Wilton cake pan and put it on top of a 14 inch round. For some reason, I lost my no. 8 tip so I used no. 30 instead for his fur! I'm sure Cricket won't notice the difference.'

The smitten mother also shared an adorable snap of the birthday girl looking up at her in the reflection of a mirror.

Meanwhile, it was the actress's own birthday on June 25 and she celebrated at the premiere of her new TV movie, Jason Nash Is Married, Comedy Central's first feature-length movie.

She was presented with a large chocolate cake by comedian Jason Nash, who plays her onscreen husband in the film, which is a spinoff from a comedy series that aired just five episodes in 2010.

Her real name is Elizabeth Jean Philipps, but she chooses to use "Busy" (a nickname she got as a child as she was always on the go) as her professional name. Nothing wrong with that. I'm a bit dubious about her choice of names for her children though - is Cricket named after the game or the insect?

I absolutely love Busy and she looks fab but in no way does she have a "slender figure" DM. She's always been curvy and strong and there's nothing wrong with that.
