Mind over platter! Shrinking comedian Magda Szubanski shows off dieting results weeks after being dumped by Jenny Craig's weight-loss company

It seems like Magda Szubanski has cranked up her gym regime, as she has been spotted out-and-about looking better than ever.

The actress and comedian, who was reportedly dumped by weight-loss company, Jenny Craig, last month, is now shedding the pounds on her own.

Magda’s long-time battle of the bulge has been widely documented and she weighed 121kg at her heaviest.

The 53-year-old seemed to be in high spirits when she took to the streets for a bit of retail therapy.

Dressed down in a pair of trainers, the star looked delighted to show off the results of her hard work.

Magda looked trendy and comfortable for her excursion, browsing the shops in a three-quarter length pair of denim jeans.

Accentuating her healthier figure, the Kath And Kim actress donned a long, grey t-shirt for her outing.

She accessorised her ensemble with a leather, tan-coloured backpack and a modern pair of black-framed glasses.

Looking happier than she has in weeks, even smiling for the camera, Magda wore her strawberry blonde hair in a high ponytail and away from her face.

The iconic actress and the Jenny Craig weight-loss company parted ways earlier this month, with a rep telling Daily Mail Australia: 'Jenny Craig and Magda Szubanski can confirm that their working relationship will not be continuing.'

They added that Magda would be 'pursuing her weight-loss journey privately'.

After news of her split from Jenny Craig, New Idea reported that friends were afraid for her health.

She 'is not in a good place right now,' a source told the publication.

They added that the star 'lacks energy and has been using a a walking stick to help her get around.'

However, from recent photographs, the star definitely appears to be feeling more upbeat.
