They're some FIENNES moves, Ralph! Revered Bond star dances up a storm as he lets loose on the red carpet of Venice Film Festival

He is one of Britain's most revered actors, and will take over the role of serious MI5 boss M in the highly-anticipated new Bond film Spectre.

But Oscar nominee Ralph Fiennes was clearly keen to show off his fun side when he attended the Venice Film Festival on Sunday afternoon.

The 52-year-old star was seen throwing a series of impressive shapes at Palazzo del Casino while attending the gala screening of new movie A Bigger Splash.

Commanding attention, the critically-acclaimed screen star was promoting his movie - which co-stars Tilda Swinton - when he suddenly burst into action.

Seeming to recreate moves from Saturday Night Fever and Gangnam Style, the performer was clearly feeling in a good mood.

Laughing along with onlookers, he gave such an energetic performance that he even generated an applause.

And, despite being joined by his A-list co-stars, he definitely stole the show.

Wearing a pair of dark blue jeans with a matching shirt and tweed jacket, he looked both casually dapper and younger than his years.

Naturally, he also appeared agile - and with plenty of rhythm.

According to IMDB, the film charts the vacation of a famous rock star and a filmmaker, who is disrupted by the unexpected visit of an old friend and his daughter.

Directed by Luca Guadagnino, whose previous credits include I Am Love, it is expected to hit cinema screens in May 2016.

It also stars Lily McMenamy, Matthias Schoenaerts and Dakota Johnson.

He was joined at the festival by his A Bigger Splash co-stars, including Swinton who cut a typically unique figure in a simple yet stunning ensemble.

With her trademark quiff pushed back and her usual minimal make-up, the actress looked striking in a simplistic white T-shirt with a ruched navy skirt.

As she ventured into the press conference to liaise with her co-stars, the actress, who plays Marianne in the movie, gracefully greeted fans and signed autographs.

Meanwhile, Fiennes has plenty of other projects in the pipeline.

He takes over, fully, from Judi Dench as M in the latest 007 movie, Spectre, which is shooting now.

He will also play Ibsen’s emotionally flawed architect Halvard Solness in The Master Builder, which will be a cornerstone of Matthew Warchus’s first season as artistic director of the Old Vic.

Warchus is following on from Kevin Spacey, who has stewarded the landmark theatre for the past decade.

Fiennes will give us his Master Builder — one of the great stage roles for serious actors — in January and February of next year.

He’s also in talks to to take on another of the classics — most likely the Bard — with Rupert Goold directing him at the Almeida, sometime late next year, or possibly early 2017.
