Shia LaBeouf cuts a cool and casual figure as he continues to show off his new clean-shaven look while out and about in Venice

He debuted his new clean-cut image as he attended the Man Down premiere at the Venice Film Festival in Italy on Sunday.

But Shia LaBeouf cut a more casual figure as he continued to show off his shaved head and lack of facial hair as he was spotted out and about in the picturesque city on Monday.

Shia, 29, ditched his tuxedo for a more laid-back outfit which comprised brown denim shorts, a grey motif jumper, battered shoes and a camouflage print backpack.

The Even Stevens actor looked fairly relaxed as he was pictured stood outside his hotel ahead of a day of sight-seeing.

He was minding his own business listening to music when a small group of female fans approached him.

Shia made their days by taking the time to pose for smiley selfies with them.

Shia abandoned his deliberately disheveled style for a sharp black tuxedo and bow tie when he attended the Man Down premiere at the Venice Film Festival on Sunday.

He looked picture perfect as he embraced the spotlight, adjusting the front buttons of his crisp blazer that featured a slick lapel.

He also donned a pair of shiny leather shoes, and polished off the look with a white shirt, while an emerging five o'clock shadow added a slight rugged touch.

The former Disney star first arrived to the premiere donning a pair of sunglasses, which he removed as he approached the red carpet, shading his eyes with his hands.

Shia then got in touch with his collected side when he posed with his hands clasped in front of his torso.

The actor also posed beside the film's director Dito Montiel who was dressed down for the red carpet event in a pair of rolled-up grey trousers and a grey sweatshirt.

Further adding to the low-key effect were his blue shoes, which were ripped at the toe.

Dito threw an arm around Shia's shoulders, and the pair grinned from ear-to-ear as they posed together.

The director was no doubt proud of all the hard work the leading star had put into the film, which also stars Kate Mara, Gary Oldman, and Jai Courtney.

Shia stars as U.S. Marine Gabriel Drummer, who relentlessly searches for his son's exile location in a post-apocalyptic world.

Gary, who previously worked with Shia in 2012's Lawless, will play the young war vet's therapist in Man Down.

In October 2014, Shia told Interview magazine how much he was looking forward to working with Gary again, who he has looked up to as an actor for many years.

The actor also compared Man Down to 'therapy'.
