It's been a glamorous few days in Venice as the picturesque Italian city plays host to the 72nd Film Festival there.

The Hollywood elite have been turning out in their droves as they showcase their latest projects to the industry and now photographs of the stars posing on the red carpet have been converted into vintage-style black and white images, adding a further touch of glam to the glitzy proceedings.

Johnny Depp and his gorgeous wife Amber Heard put on an amorous display as they arrived at The Danish Girl premiere on Saturday, but their monochrome makeover has made their precious red carpet moments all the more romantic.

Putting on a cosy display, the couple kept close as they sat back and relaxed during their excursion through the Italian city.

Meanwhile, on Saturday Amber’s Danish Girl co-star Eddie Redmayne and his new wife Hannah Bagshawe were also given the black and white treatment at Venice Film Festival.

Classically handsome in a sharp skinny-fit suit, former Burberry model Eddie looked the part on the red carpet with his hair simply styled and a black tie on.

Hannah - with whom he tied the knot in late 2014 - looked exquisite in a nude gown that featured a high neck with diamante detail.

Further photos see Kristen Stewart looking glamorous as she arrives to the illustrious celebrity event at the premiere of her new movie Equals.

A second pic sets the Twilight actress apart from the crowd in her light satin dress. On the left-hand side her friend and co-star Nicholas Hoult can be seen looking in her direction as she teeters down the red carpet in her silver Louboutin shoes.

Nicholas was handsomely outfitted in a black tuxedo with black bow tie and Kristen, who is usually stony-faced as such festivities, broke into smiles as she made her way down the carpet towards the venue.

Elsewhere, Fifty Shades Of Grey star Dakota Johnson shows off her natural beauty in a sultry snap taken at the premiere for A Bigger Splash.

The 25-year-old showed off her elegant side in a heavily decorated but somehow still understated floor-length black gown as she joined her co-stars at the movie premiere.

At first glance Dakota was almost unrecognisable, thanks to her short brunette locks being coiffed into tight curls, a change from her usual look.

The glamorous corkscrew curls were a chic addition to her premiere aesthetic, though, as well as the seductively heavy silver eye make-up, giving an almost 1970s vibe.

Dakota - who is at the annual film festival also promoting another new film, Black Mass - lapped up the attention on the red carpet as she joined her co-stars for the film's big debut.
