'First time Burner alert!' Katy Perry takes a spill from her Segway and almost drives over herself at desert festival
She kissed the dirt, and she liked it.
Katy Perry had a laugh at her own expense on Sunday when she took a spill from her Segway at Burning Man.
The 30-year-old posted an Instagram video of herself driving around the Nevada's Black Rock Desert - or trying to.

Whoops: Katy Perry had a laugh at her own expense on Sunday when she took a spill from her Segway at Burning Man
As a dust storm rages around her, she certainly looks the part in over-sized dust goggles and face mask, with a thick fur coat, short mesh skirt and tiny backpack.
Behind her, musicians play on one of the enormous bizarre moving structures especially built by revelers for the festival, this one resembling a gargantuan tank with bicycles strapped to its tracks.
The popstar spins in tight circles - too tight, clearly - and falls off, before somehow managing to almost back over herself.

Carry on in a studded Valentino backpack like Katy
Katy Perry may have been incognito at Burning man in her mask, fur coat and bizzaro segway, but we can spot a luxe backpack by Valentino a mile away, even through all the dust.
This is not just any old leather rucksack, this one by Valentino features the iconic rockstud motif and it's one of the coolest bags we've seen in a while. Imagine pairing this with a flippy LBD for a 90s throwback look or with ripped jeans for that model-off-duty outfit.
Head over to Lane Crawford to pick up this mini carryall. Big enough to fit a wallet, googles and useful to boot since you can be hands free to stylishly run about.
If unsurprisingly 2k for a bag isn't quite within budget, then check out the much cheaper options below starting at just $40.
With one leg still perched on the platform, she desperately tries to regain control, her balance and her composure all at the same time, but soon concedes it's a lost cause, abandoning ship completely.
All that's left to do then is comically chase after the runaway vehicle, which is still trying to get away from her despite having no rider.
When it finally gives up the ghost and comes to a rest, Katy is left cracking up beside it, albeit a little nervously, as she warily bends to pick it up.

The Roar singer sums the episode up perfectly in her own caption: 'obvious first time burner alert'.
Meanwhile on her Twitter account, Katy accepted an apology from a fan who edited a screenshot of a text message she supposedly sent.
During a concert, the Roar hitmaker was handed a fan's phone which had a text message from her ex-boyfriend, which said Perry 'couldn't sing live very well'. Perry responded to the text with a selfie from the concert.

But an online prankster got hold of the photo and edited it to look like Perry also texted the recipient: 'You thought I would never see this chat, you little d*ckless monkey. You have no balls, pussy. C***.'
Following media reports, Katy was forced to deny calling someone a c*** in a text message.
The prankster then tweeted her an apology, saying he only meant it as a joke, which she accepted and thanked him for.
