He's busy touring the world.

But, as Liam Payne proved on Sunday night, even the most seasoned pop stars need an occasional night of normality - which he enjoyed with girlfriend Sophia Smith.

The pair were spotted at a cinema in Ontario, Canada, where they were clearly off-duty and enjoying time away from celebrity.

Wearing a white T-shirt with black, skinny jeans and a leather jacket the chart-topper looked typically handsome as he clutched a large soft drink and some popcorn.

Taking the lead as he walked towards the screen, he kept a straight face and made little fuss about his rock-n-roll status.

Not far behind was Sophia, who was also dressed casually - with her hair down and hanging down over a tan trench coat.

Together, the pair certainly looked to be relaxed in each others' company.

And, chances are, they'll get to enjoy even more of it in 2016 - when the world-famous boyband look set to take an 'extended hiatus'.

The hearts of 1D fans all over the world broke, last month, when Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson confirmed that the group are indeed taking a break next year.

Niall took to his Twitter account to write: 'We are not splitting up, but we will be taking a well earned break at some point next year.'

Louis, 23, added: 'Your support is truly indescribable! It's just a break :) we're not going anywhere !! Promise Don't worry.'

On tour: Liam is currently touring the world with 1D and will next play in Ontario, Canada, on Tuesday evening

But that isn't the only trauma pop fans have endured, lately.

After sharing a picture of himself on a private jet, fans were furious after they spotted Liam holding a lit cigarette.

The black and white photo sparked anger, with followers taking to Twitter in their droves to plea with the star - who has been spotted smoking in the past - to stop the habit.

One wrote: 'Liam I love you please stop. I don't wanna lose you I can't even imagine my life without you Stay safe please.'
