'I love being a Z-lister': Steven Gerrard admits he relishes in new found anonymity after his move to Los Angeles with family
Earlier this year he made the move to America after leaving Liverpool for LA Galaxy.
Despite being a much welcomed addition to the Los Angeles football team, Steven Gerrard has admitted he's enjoying his new 'Z-list' celebrity status in the States.
Describing his new life in the US as 'mind-blowing', the 35-year-old has revealed it's great being able to walk down the street and not be recognised.

'I love being a Z-lister': Steven Gerrard has admitted he relishes in the anonymity of his celebrity status in LA
Speaking to HELLO! magazine, Steven said: 'I couldn't be happier right now.
'I've gone from not being able to walk down a street without being stopped every five minutes to being a Z-lister out here and that's cool. I love it.'
Gerrard left Merseyside this summer after 17 years with the Reds, who he famously led to Champions League glory in 2005, in order to play in America's Major Soccer League.

Following his career move, Steven is now renting an $18million six bedroom mansion in Beverly Hills in which he lives with his wife Alex and their daughters, Lily-Ella, Lexie and Lourdes.
Never one to forget where he came from, although his current abode was once occupied by Mariah Carey, Gerrard said he still finds his life 'mind-blowing'.

He explained: 'We're very lucky, I know that. I grew up on a council estate and will always remain grounded and humble. But this is mind-blowing.'
Detailing the impact his new celebrity status has had on his relationship with his daughters, Steven continued: 'I've become a cool dad all of a sudden because I can take the kids out and no-one interferes.
'We can take them to the park, the beach, fairgrounds, water parks and be there for six hours and I might hear one person say my name and they're not even sure if it's me, so I just smile. The kids have been shocked I'm around and can do more things with them.'
In the interview, Gerrard also revealed how much he is looking forward to spending Christmas with his family in Liverpool without being involved in the busy English football schedule.
Unveiling some of his plans for the festive period, he said: 'We're going to have a house party in Liverpool and it'll be nice to have a couple of beers like everyone else can.
'Then we'll go away for New Year, which we've never been able to do before.'
Although the sunny weather in Los Angeles is a constant plus, Steven added that his brood will 'always' spend Christmas in England.
The former Liverpool captain asserted: 'We'll always have Christmas in England because we love being cosy at home with the kids and all the presents and have family time.'
