Minnie Driver's son Henry is turning a very impressive seven years old, and that was cause for an early celebration.
The 45-year-old actress made it a day to remember as she took her only child to the carnival in Malibu, California on Friday, a day ahead of his actual birthday.
Minnie whipped out the camera phone and took bunches of selfies during their fun-filled day that included balloon-busting games, pizza and matching mother-son outfits in stripes.

Henry didn't stop there and also wore a pair of blue-striped cargo shorts.
The London-born beauty, on the other hand, hit the high-fashion note in a pair of black cuffed shorts that showed off her remarkably toned legs.

The brunette star let her long dark-brown hair hang loose, and the straight ends flew in the breeze while mother and son walked hand-in-hand to see the sights.
Making the carnival visit even more fun were the friends who accompanied them.

'What can I say? I am an imperfect human being. I think that's ok... For some reason I sang "o'er the ramparts we hailed..." On the upside, I was in tune!!!! And my son had a blast.'
When a follower joked, 'So when are you being deported exactly?', the British actress, who resides in Los Angeles, quipped, 'I think in about half an hour.'
