Lauren Conrad pays tribute to her husband William Tell with archery-inspired shoot for her new Kohl's collection - days before the couple celebrate their first anniversary

Former reality star-turned-designer Lauren Conrad has used the latest photoshoot for latest clothing collection at Kohl's to pay a touching tribute to her husband of one year, William Tell.

Lauren, 29, appears to have used William's legendary namesake, a folk hero famed for shooting an arrow off his son's head, as the inspiration for a few of the shots, in which she can be seen posing up with a bow and arrow.

Standing against a fall-focused landscape, filled with trees and flowers, Lauren stares confidently into the camera, while brandishing a ribbon-embellished arrow and a rustic-looking bow.

Another shot sees the designer lounging on a beautiful floral swing, while wearing a matching flower-print top and dark red jeans.

Indeed, Lauren's latest collection for the main street retailer appears to pay homage to fairytales in general, not just the legend of the great William Tell.

In addition to showing off her skills with a bow, Lauren, who has been collaborating with Kohl's since 2009, also hosts a fairytale-esque theme party in the middle of the woods, serving up a selection of sweet treats, all of which have been given some kind of beautiful floral embellishment.

Later this week, Lauren is set to launch her debut runway collection at New York Fashion Week, and - unlike many high end fashion shows - fans won't have to remortgage their homes to buy the items, wait until the spring to get their hands on them, or even be at the show in person to see it.

Rock the red like LC

Lauren Conrad is ready to make her debut in New York Fashion Week. Her collection will range from $12 to $200 at Khol's and is said to be inspired by a modern fairy tale.

Whatever, the inspirations, we love the simple and affordable collection. What better way to show off your line then buying wearing an item from your collection?

Lauren donned a pair of burgundy pumps that we are absolutely in love with. These LC pumps are only $29.99 at Khol's and are a great color for the upcoming fall season!

The entire event will be streamed live on Wednesday, with items ranging from $12 to $200 going on sale online immediately afterward.

'It's going to be amazing, everyone can tune in, get a front row seat to the runway show,' she said during an appearance on Good Morning America on Monday. 'It also includes backstage so hopefully things go smoothly - and then immediately it's shoppable which is really exciting.'

Presumably the collection will available for all ages, shapes and sizes, since The Hills star has banned what she deems 'body-shaming terms' from her website.

'When we were focusing on fitness I really wanted health to be our number one focus,' she said. 'I think that everyone's a different shape and size, and words like "skinny" and "thin" don't necessarily apply to everyone.

'So I just wanted to make sure we were focusing on taking care of yourself and feeling like the best version of you.'

'Designing and seeing this capsule collection come to life has been an incredible experience,' the reality star added in a statement about the runway show.

'The aesthetic follows the easy, whimsical style of my Kohl’s brand, but we’ve elevated this collection through amazing fabrications, vintage-inspired pieces and intricate detailing.

'I am excited to launch LC Lauren Conrad Runway to bring these beautiful, feminine pieces to women across the country and kick start fashion’s biggest week.'

Lauren and law school graduate William married in a beautiful and intimate ceremony on September 13, 2014.

The pair had been dating since February 2012, after meeting on a blind date on Valentine's Day, having been set up by friends. They announced their engagement in October 2013, just one month after William moved into Lauren's LA home.
