Forget the fancy footwork and flesh-flashing outfits, the new addition that's really getting Strictly Come Dancing viewers excited is professional dancer Gleb Savchenko.

Giving model-like colleague Aljaž Skorjanec a run for his money, the Russian hunk sent viewers into a frenzy on Saturday night with one describing the 31-year-old as the 'most attractive man ever'.

But fans of the hit BBC1 programme may be disappointed to learn that handsome Gleb is happily married to fellow dancer Elena and has a four-year-old daughter called Olivia.

After being paired with the Russian, who previously appeared on the US version of Strictly, Countryfile presenter Anita Rani, 37, took to Instagram to share a cosy photograph of the pair.

'Yes I am the cat who got the cream,' she wrote. 'Introducing my dance master and the best in the world @glebsavchenkoofficial.'

And Anita wasn't the only one to declare herself delighted with the appearance of the handsome dancer, with viewers taking to Twitter to declare their lust for the new dancer.

One tweeted, 'I genuinely think @Gleb_Savchenko is one of the most attractive men I've ever seen @bbcstrictly #Strictly'.

Another added, 'Hilarious that Anita couldn't even look at Gleb - because he's soooo handsome! #Strictly Oh yes!'

Further praise was heaped on the aesthetically-pleasing dancer with fans writing, 'Ok I'm watching #strictlycomedancing this year purely for @Gleb_Savchenko' and 'Well ladies - what do we think of @Gleb_Savchenko the new Russian pro!!! OMG and OMG again!!!! I will look forward to watching him dance.'

The Countryfile presenter later took to Instagram to tell of her delight at being paired with the Russian

BBC Radio 2 presenter Jeremy Vine, who is one of the celebrities taking part this year, even got in on the act and shared a model shot of Gleb with the seemingly sarcastic caption, 'Worried this fellow @Gleb_Savchenko is going to outshine some of us bloke dancers a little on @bbcstrictly'.

Gleb, however, is no stranger to attention from adoring fans and pulled off a similar trick during his stint on Dancing With The Stars - the US version of Strictly.

He also appeared on the Australian edition of the show in 2012 when he partnered former Miss Universe Erin McNaught.

Most recently, Gleb, who specialises in Latin, starred in the Russian version of the show where he partnered Adelina Sotnikova, an Olympic Gold ice skater.

Speaking about joining the UK show he said: 'I'm really excited to join such a fabulous brand and dance like the whole world is watching.'

Viewers can expect big things from Gleb, who began his dancing career aged eight, when he started lessons in his home town of Moscow.

Some of his greatest achievements include coming 10th in the world in the Pro-Latin American division and first in Rising Stars.

He has also modelled for a number of top brands and has danced with Jennifer Lopez in a commercial for L’Oreal.

Despite the furore surrounding him, Gleb prefers the quiet life and is keen to keep his private life under wraps.

'It’s just not something I’m really talking about that much. But I’m very happy,' he told OK! magazine.

He added: 'I’m not really a party person. I like to have a good sleep because we’re dancing all day and we start early in the morning.'
