She no doubt sees herself as something of a lady.

So it is only appropriate Kim Kardashian met Serena WIlliams for tea as they made the most of the tennis ace's day off from the US Open in New York on Monday. 

The dynamic duo looked like they were having a great time as the sipped on their cups while they posed up for an Instagram shot together inside the posh Carbone restaurant.

Kim, clearly delighted to be enjoying a Labor Day outing with arguably the world's top female athlete, captioned her Instagram image: 'Sipping & spilling the tea tonight with Serena?'

The 34-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians favourite was looking in good form in a woollen jacket, Ramones T-shirt and ripped jeans. 

Serena meanwhile crowbarred her own generous curves into a boob tube, trendy blazer, and served up her stylistic coup de grace by showcasing a gargantuan behind to rival her friend's.

Perhaps the world's number one woman player thought Kim was the ideal person to seek tactical tips from as she prepares to tackle perhaps the biggest obstacle in her quest to win a seventh US Open crown on Tuesday. 

Serena has already admitted her big-hitting sister Venus is the one player she fears as she attempts to win a calendar grand slam.

The most famous siblings in tennis will meet for the 27th time in the quarter-finals at Flushing Meadows after Serena ousted fellow American Madison Keys and Venus thrashed Estonian qualifier Anett Kontaveit.

Serena said: 'For me I'm playing the best player in the tournament, and that's never easy.

'She's beaten me so many times. I've taken a lot of losses off of her - more than anybody.
