Lady in red! Best Soap Actress nominee Nikki Sanderson oozes Hollywood glamour in stunning scarlet gown at the TV Choice Awards 2015

With her sleek red locks and vampish red dress, she clearly swapped Hollyoaks for Hollywood for the night.

Nikki Sanderson looked incredible as she arrived at the TV Choice Awards at London's Park Lane Hotel on Monday evening.

The 31-year-old soap starlet, who was nominated for the coveted Best Soap Actress prize at the annual awards ceremony, looked striking in a subtly, revealing red gown.

The Hollyoaks and former Coronation Street actress, who plays Maxine Minnever in the popular Channel 4 programme, donned an ankle-length crimson dress, which boasted a cross-over neckline.

The dress offered a glimpse of flesh through cut-outs around the midriff and back, which flaunted her toned frame to perfection.

Nikki's floor-sweeping number hid her shoes, however it was clear sky-high heels were boosting her diminutive frame.

The stunning star ramped up the Hollywood glam by wearing her long red locks pulled to one-side, in large retro waves.

Her make-up added to the vintage glamour of the look with a heavily defined brow paired with a slick of red lipstick which matched her vampish manicure.

Nikki kept the accessories simple by adding a simple pair of diamond studs, which allowed the dress to speak for itself.

As well as anticipating the result of her own award, Nikki wished luck to her show, which is up for the Best Soap prize.

Hollyoaks was pegged against Nikki's old soap, Coronation Street, in which she starred from 1999-2005 as feisty hair dresser Candice Stowe, but neither show won in the end, losing out to BBC's EastEnders.

She also missed out on the Best Soap Actress prize to Coronation Street's Alison King, who plays Carla Connor.

Clearly excited for the glamorous night ahead, Nikki took to Twitter to share her delight with her 11,000 followers.

She posted: London bound for [TV Choice} awards tonight!! Fingers crossed for all things

The red-haired beauty attended the event alone despite going public with her shocking new relationship earlier this year.

Nikki confirmed she's dating long-time friend Greg Whitehurst, a married man whose wedding she was a guest at just ten months ago, with the couple making their public debut at the British Soap Awards afterparty in May.

Nikki and Greg, who started dating following the breakdown of his marriage in January, 'are not rushing into anything'.
