It's a break out! Orange Is The New Black co-stars Dascha Polanco, Danielle Brooks and Adrienne C. Moore enjoy a girls' day at US Open

They are more usually seen behind bars in a women's jail.

But on Sunday Orange Is The New Black co-stars Dascha Polanco, Danielle Brooks and Adrienne C. Moore staged a break-out so they could enjoy a day at the US Open tennis championship.

The top-ranked tournament is going on at the Arthur Ashe Stadium in the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in the Flushing neighborhood of Queens in New York.

The three women looked like they had a fabulous time as they watched top-seeded Novak Djokovic beat Roberto Bautista Agut in four sets on day seven of the tournament, which wraps on September 13.

The three stars play inmates the fictional Litchfield Correctional Facility for women in upstate New York in the hit Netflix original series. 

Dascha, 33, who plays Dayanara 'Daya' Diaz, swapped her orange prison overalls for a revealing romper with a white bodice and pale blue shorts teamed with a pale blue zip up jacket.

She co-ordinated with white high-heeled caged sandals and a little white leather handbag. The actress, who hails from the Dominican Republic, styled her long brunette tresses into a pony tail.

Danielle and Adrienne sat behind their pal in the stands.

The 25-year-old, who plays Tasha 'Taystee' Jefferson, donned a green, long-sleeved T-shirt and ripped jeans.

The Augusta, Georgia-born beauty wore her hair in tight curls that she pulled up with a scarf as she chatted to a man sitting in the row below.

Nashville native Adrienne C. Moore, who portrays 'Black Cindy' Hayes was the most colourful of the trio in an eye-popping pink blouse with her Afro combed out to sit high on her head.

They happily posed for selfies with fans who spotted them.

OITNB is based on author Piper Kerman's memoir about her own experiences in prison.

The first season of the hour-long comedy drama debuted in its entirety on Netflix on July 11, 2013, and became an instant hit. 

Season 3 was released on June 11 with the fourth season set to return next June.
