She made her name starring in films including Factory Girl and The Edge Of Love.

But Sienna Miller's latest part is set to shock her fans.

The 26-year-old is soaked in cow's blood in the gruesome new music video for British band The Hours.

Co-directed by artist Damien Hirst, the promo for new single See The Light finds the actress wearing a hospital gown and looking distressed as she attempts to exit a clothes shop.

Towards the video's climax, Miller wanders into a room which has dripping cow carcasses on the wall.

She then proceeds to rub the animals' blood over her body before saying: 'Death feels like the safest place for me right now.'

Miller also squeezes herself into a glass cabinet and wades through piles of high-heeled shoes in the bizarre video.

The Hours frontman Ant Genn said: 'It's a song about struggle and addiction and fear and darkness... and the video brings it to life. The song and the film work perfectly together.'

Just a few weeks ago, Miller entered a pre-sale bid for a collection of Hirst's artwork, which is set to go on sale in an auction at the Lazarides Gallery in London in December.

The art-loving star also bid on pieces by Tracey Emin and Jonathan Yeo.
