She can transform to appear completely different when appearing on the silver screen.

But Tilda Swinton looked her usual striking and graceful self as she walked the red carpet on Sunday evening, at the premiere for her new movie A Bigger Splash at the 72nd Venice Film Festival.

The 54-year-old British actress appeared far younger than her years as she stole the limelight, seriously impressing in a figure-hugging pale lemon yellow dress, the shade flattering her alabaster skin tone.

The actress' enviably willowy figure looked amazing in the floor length frock, which included a thick waist-cinching band around her slender middle, and an asymmetric draped shoulder.

Mid-length sleeves were cropped to her elbows, further highlighting her long limbs, while the feminine dress was finished with a gorgeous mermaid-style hemline, kicking out at her knees after skimming closely to her slim hips.

Her cropped blonde locks were styled to perfection, a combination of neat and messy that worked well with her striking features, with her lips painted in a perky shade of pink.

Star of the show: The British actress, who plays the leading role in the new film, showed off her enviable figure in the beautiful dress

The Trainwreck actress kept the rest of her aesthetic relatively fuss-free, opting for nothing else but an oversized statement ring on her finger to pull everything together.

Earlier in the day, the serene star opted for simple, classic elegance once again as she joined her co-stars Dakota Johnson, Ralph Fiennes and Matthias Schoenaerts at the photo call.

The beautiful actress opted for a crisp white t-shirt tucked into a wrapover-fronted navy skirt with a close-fitting style to once again flaunt her amazing figure.

Meanwhile, also on the red carpet on Sunday evening were Tilda's fellow castmembers Dakota, Ralph and Matthias.

Fifty Shades of Grey actress Dakota, 25, dazzled in an off-shoulder ful-length black dress, covered with mirrored silver embellishments.

And she was almost unrecognisable with her usually straight locks styled into tight corkscrew curls, a look that certainly suited her and the eye-catching dress.

The gentlemen scrubbed up well for the red carpet premiere, too, with 52-year-old Ralph cutting a dapper figure in a double-breasted grey suit and striped shirt without a tie.

Matthias, 37, went for a more traditional look for the big night, going for a clean black suit with a white shirt and matching black tie, his hair slicked back to reveal his handsome face.

The talented group were also joined on the red carpet by the film's director Luca Guadagnino, and their co-star Corrado Guzzanti.

A Bigger Splash explores the unusual tensions that unfold when a singer Marianne (Tilda) and her boyfriend (Matthias) are paid a visit during their restful trip on an island just outside of Italy by her ex-boyfriend, Harry (Ralph).

Harry, who also happens to be the one who introduced Marianne to her current other half, is accompanied by his daughter Penelope (Dakota).

Directed by Guadagnino, whose previous credits include I Am Love, it is expected to hit cinema screens in May 2016.
