Ch.Saikhanbileg becomes Prime Minister

A member of parliament Mr Ch.Saikhanbileg became the 28th Prime Minister of Mongolia at 12.45 pm on November 21.  

A plenary meeting of parliament started at 10.18 am Friday with 51.3 percent attendance. The President Ts.Elbegdorj presented the issue at the beginning of the meeting. A.Bakei MP presented a brief introduction of the candidate, saying Saikhanbileg was born in Sumber soum of Dornod aimag in 1969,  graduated the 45th secondary school in 1986, a University of Humanities of Moscow in 1991 majoring in history teaching, the State University of Mongolia in 1995 majoring in law, and the George Washington University of Washington D.C. of the USA. He has a master’s degree in law.

After parliament members put forth questions for the candidate on his plans in case he is approved to become the PM, the meeting ran a voting. Thus, Mr Ch.Saikhanbileg was appointed the Prime Minister with 95.5 percent approval vote.

Parliament issued a resolution on this appointment.
