Over the last few months he's been making bold moves with his wardrobe choices.

So as Lewis Hamilton took to the red carpet at the GQ Men Of The Year Awards on Tuesday in London it came as no surprise that he made a stand out appearance.

Opting to take the plunge, the 30-year-old F1 champion donned a black brocade chest baring blazer as he continued to show off his bleached mane.

Ditching the dress code, Lewis gave his own unique spin on black tie with his stunning blazer which also featured velvet lapels and embroidered detail.

Donning a fringed printed scarf made up of images of crowns, Hamilton completed his casual dapper ensemble with black trousers and patent shoes.

Accessorising with diamond earrings, a silver wristwatch and matching bangle, the sports star styled his blond hair in a quiffed mohawk for the event, held in association with Ciroc Vodka.

During the main event, Lewis was award the trophy for Sportsman Of The Year which comes just days after he claimed his seventh victory of the season at Monza by winning the Italian Grand Prix on Sunday.

Following the victory, Hamilton was all smiles on Monday after being invited to make a guest appearance at the Malaysia Pavilion at the Milan Expo.

The Stevenage born champion was greeted by Expo chief Giuseppe Sala, who was quick to congratulate him on his latest trophy, and also took part in a Q&A session with a group of students.

And Lewis clearly felt in the mood to celebrate his gong as he headed on to the after-party at celebrity hot spot The Chiltern Firehouse.

Meanwhile, Lewis who is an avid social media fan took to Instagram to ask his followers for some advice with regards to celebrating his latest achievement.

Posing with a Mercedes six-wheeler, he asked: 'So.... Thinking about getting this bad boy. What do you think? #6x6benz #mercedesbenz'.

The off-road pick-up truck, which has a military version currently in use by the Australian army, will set Hamilton back an eye-watering £370,000 if he indeed adds it to his vehicle collection.
