'I haven't been in a relationship for a while': Justin Bieber says he'll remain single as he waits for his heart to 'heal' after splitting from Selena Gomez 

As one of the world's most famous faces, Justin Bieber could have his pick of any woman he wants - but the Canadian hit-maker seems to be still pining over his ex-girlfriend, Selena Gomez.

Talking to KIIS 1065's Kyle And Jackie O Show on Tuesday morning as he promoted his visit Down Under at the end of the month, the Baby singer said that he has been keeping himself to himself as heartbreak has become too much for him to bear.

'I haven't been in a relationship for a while, I'm chilling and just hanging out. Just being by myself,' he told Kyle Sandilands and Jackie 'O' Henderson.

'I am a relationship type of guy, I love to be in love and I love cuddling and I love all of that kind of stuff but I got my heart broken and so I'm just going to let that heal up.

'I had a few beers guys, maybe I'm talking too openly?' the 21-year-old added.

Justin wouldn't say if was talking about his ex Selena per se, but she has been his only official girlfriend of late. 

The pair have been on-again off-again a number of times, but their major break-up came around October last year.

He also cleared up if he was trying to send his ex a subtle message with in his new music video for What Do You Mean?

During a skate park scene at the end of the video, the name Selena is written in graffiti on the wall alongside the worlds 'hope' and 'love'.

But he told the radio duo: 'That wasn't me who did that.'

Justin, had been caught up with the law in recent times but says he has also moved on from his old group of pals.

'I kind of distanced myself from a lot of friends and I'm doing a lot of stuff by myself recently,' he added.

He said it was all a phase but has moved on now: 'I want to enjoy right now, I don't want to keep apologising.'

Justin has granted 250 wishes for children through the Make-A-Wish Foundation and says it's one of his favourite things to do adding he loves being around children because they never want anything from and allow him to be himself.

'I think that's a lot of the misconception that they had about Michael Jackson. He wanted to be around kids because they are just innocent and he never wanted anything from them.

'I don't know if I believe all the stuff going on about Michael but that's just my opinion.'
