But that did not stop Alessandra Ambrosio tucking into something a little more appealing after she was spotted slurping a bowl of ice cream as she enjoyed a Labor Day weekend outing in Malibu.

The Victoria's Secret Angel looked in heaven as she poured the delicious delight down her throat as she enjoyed a family day out in the sweltering summer sunshine.

Alessandra was no doubt especially enjoying her treat as the temperatures soared in California as she visited the 34th Kiwanis Chili Cook-Off And Fair over the weekend.

The 34-year-old Brazilian beauty showed off her assets in a blue bustiere with spaghetti-string straps and a cut-away back attached to a pair of tiny shorts that made the best of her long legs.

She popped a cream straw hat over her long brunette tresses to protect her face from the sun and accessorised with a large pair of dark glasses with round frames.

Her Victoria's Secret is out: While she is no doubt strict with her diet she seemed ready to ramp up her calorie intake as she enjoyed a family day out

Ironically her daughter Anja resisted the urge to enjoy a sweet treat, and was instead spotted carrying a teddy bear and a toy as they headed back to their car.

The adorable seven-year-old looked cute in a violet-blue dress with images of white yachts sailing across the material.

She, too, wore her hair down like her mother and they held hands as they walked around the fairground attractions together, while three-year-old son Noah was given a life by Alessandra

The four-day fair wraps at 6pm on Monday, Labor Day, and includes live entertainment and fairground rides.

Other exciting attractions include wine from local vineyards, beer from micro breweries, food and, of course, the famous chili cook-off competition.
