Statuesque Jodie Kidd looks sensational in plunging black gown as she hits the red carpet at the GQ Men Of The Year Awards

As one of the Britain’s most famous fashion exports, it’s hardly surprising Jodie Kidd managed to look flawless at the GQ Men Of The Year Awards on Tuesday evening.

The 36-year-old, who recently turned down the chance to host Top Gear, looked absolutely sensational in an elegant floor-sweeping black gown as she arrived at London's Royal Opera House.

The shimmery number, complete with a plunging neckline, highlighted the model’s statuesque frame to perfection, while she stood tall in gold strappy heels.

With her golden tresses swept into a chic updo, Jodie looked nothing short of glamorous as she accentuated her striking facial features with smoky eyewear and blush-tinted cheeks.

The finer details of her knock-out ensemble included a delicate necklace and a simple, yet, perfectly chic pair of earrings.

Mingling with a whole host of fashionably famous names, Jodie enjoyed the night with James Bond beauty Naomie Harris, Game Of Thrones’ Emilia Clarke and singer Sam Smith.

Obviously keen to move on after the numerous summer rumours surrounding her possible involvement in a revamped series of Top Gear, Jodie looked in suitably high-spirits.

Talking about her decision to say no to the offer of co-hosting the hugely successful Motoring show, the star told the Daily Telegraph in August that she didn't want her life to be consumed by the show.

'Top Gear is the most brilliant show on this planet but it would just take over your soul... it would be completely all-consuming,' she explained.

However, it appears that her decision to turn down presenting the motoring monster alongside Chris Evans was a recent decision, and a difficult one too.

She said: 'Everyone every day has been asking me, am I doing it? Am I doing it? I am not, okay.'

Jodie's decision not to take on the role is surprising, after she rubbished claims the show - which was previously hosted by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May - wouldn't work with a female host.
