A North Fort Myers couple is urging homeowners to invest in a security system after a camera hidden inside their home at Moody River Estates caught a burglar in the act. 

The couple's security system shows 45-year-old Thomas Hinton rummaging through their home while they're out of town. Hinton was arrested.

The couple tells us they are adding an alarm system because you can never be too careful. 

"I immediately felt sick to my stomach. I was like you got to be kidding me," said the homeowner. 

The homeowner tells us she watched in horror from a different country as a man violated her Fort Myers home. 

"We could hear him going through all of the drawers, and we could see him throwing clothing on the floor. Then, we could hear him going through every cupboard in our pantry," said the homeowner.

The couple, from Ontario, Canada, turned Saturday's surveillance tape over to authorities which led to police arresting Thomas Hinton a day after the burglary in Fort Myers Beach, Florida.
