And Penelope Cruz didn't disappoint as she showed off her wild side in a black mesh dress whilst attending the photocall for her new movie Ma Ma at the Villamagna Hotel in her native Madrid, Spain, on Monday.

The 41-year-old actress oozed sex appeal in the skintight gown which featured a mesh leopard print pattern along the arms.

Her highlighted brunette locks were worn in a straight style, while her side-swept fringe made sure to delicately frame her pretty face which had been enhanced with a smokey eye-shadow look and a nude lipstick.

The Spanish actress was joined by director Julio Medem on the red carpet, as well as co-star Asier Exteandi, who the screen siren was seen laughing with as they made their way into the event.

In the film, Penelope plays Magda, a woman who has to overcome tragedy in her life, though the film is also infused with scenes of humour and happiness.

Penelope is producing the film, in what is only her second turn as a producer following her debut in 2012 movie Twice Born.

The Vanilla Sky actress is already busy working on new movie La reina de España, which she will also star in and produce.

Intriguingly, Penelope recently admitted that she is planning to move away from acting and into production.

Speaking to Variety in Cannes earlier this year, she dished: 'I want to build what could be my future in cinema, not always being in front of the camera.

'I'd also like to direct a feature, maybe 10 years from now. For now, I’m directing commercial and video-clips; I love that.'

Penelope is married to fellow Oscar winner Javier Bardem, with whom she has two children.
