Taylor Swift superfan reveals she spent EIGHT MONTHS knitting tribute sweater for pop star before giving it to her mother during concert

She received a handmade tribute sweater from one devoted fan this weekend.

And it turns out the knitter who created Taylor Swift's new garment spent eight months stitching the piece together before giving it to her mother Andrea during her Denver concert on Sunday.

On Monday, Jadda - the 27-year-old who knitted Taylor's labour of love - wrote on Tumblr: 'It's just that the sweater was like my little baby for 8 months and I'm just so proud.'

Jadda continued to describe the arduous process of perfecting the winter staple in a number of posts.

She wrote: 'Let me tell you, that pattern was difficult af. I had to make my own pattern for the letters so it was legible. I did front, then back than arms and stitched them together in a raglan style.

'Then made the neck band. Ton of work but so much fun.'

She later added: 'Oh and I forgot to mention that when doing the raglan style, I had the daunting task of making sure everything lined up just right.

'Honestly for my first sweater I couldn't be more proud. I have heard horror stories about sleeves being two different lengths.'

When Taylor, 25, learned of Jadda's identity, she took to Tumblr to personally thank her.

She wrote: 'I have found my mysterious knitter!!!!! Jadda I absolutely love it and it’s so comfortable. I can definitely tell it was made with love. Thank you so so so much.'

The Colorado-based fan also described how exactly she was able to deliver the fashion piece straight to the hands of Taylor's mother, Andrea Swift.

In an interview with Buzzfeed, she described attending two concerts back-to-back in Denver, all in the hopes of handing off the gift.

She said: 'When Welcome to New York started I noticed that Andrea was bringing in upgraded fans and I knew it was now or never because it was the last show I am attending this tour. So I called out to her but she didn’t hear me.

'I was attending the show with my boyfriend that night and he actually motioned for her to come over to us. She did and I said hi and told her that I had a sweater and a letter for Taylor and handed them to her.

'Then I asked if I could have a hug and if we could take a picture. She said yes. And we took the photo.'

The Bad Blood songwriter seemed thrilled at her new look, flashing a big smile and giving two thumbs up in what appeared to be her private jet.

Taylor snuggled up in her cosy new sweater after performing her 1989 World Tour at the Pepsi Center in Denver.

The generous songwriter is known for reaching out personally to her fans with care packages, gifts and supportive messages, even sending one fan almost $2000 to help pay off her student loans.

She also sent a care package to an Arizona teacher who posted a video of herself lip-syncing to some of Taylor's songs.

And she surprised one Connecticut fan in person, when the woman opened her door to find Taylor standing there with a toy Mercedes for her child.

Make a style statement in sequins like Taylor Swift

Well, we can hardly accuse Taylor Swift of not making an effort, can we? Ever the shy and retiring wallflower (!) Ms. Swift made sure all eyes were on her for the VMAs as she posed up a storm in this dazzling sequinned two-piece by Ashish.

It comes as no surprise to us, seeing as Ashish Gupta is nicknamed the 'king of sequins' and is well-known for transforming sportswear with high-octane embellishments.

We love the houndstooth print and opulence of the all-over sequins of these co-ordinates, while the jogger style trousers keep the look young and fun.

And while we're not sure if we have the fashion chops to pull off the whole look, we always have time for a sequinned crop top here at Fashion Finder! Perfect for adding a little dose of festivity to any outfit, a bejeweled top would look fabulous styled with a simple midi skirt and heels.

Feeling suitably inspired? We've lined up some sizzling lookalikes in our edit below to help you get that Taylor glow. Go for a sweatshirt style at Joa or full-on embellishment with this Parker offering.
