Jessica Alba was the definition of effortless style as she was spotted enjoying a late-night stroll with her precious daughter Haven in New York City on Tuesday evening.

The Entourage actress struck the perfect balance between style and comfort as she slipped into a low-key ensemble for the pair's evening outing.

Jessica, 34, wore a black and white patterned midi skirt which she teamed with a black scoop-neck vest top and a lightweight red cardigan.

The Hollywood star made sure to make a style statement in the footwear department as she slipped on a pair of black patent leather brogues which featured two contrasting platform soles.

Jessica slung a small black gold-chain handbag across her body, freeing up both her hands to push her youngest child in her buggy.

The four-year-old - whose father is Cash Warren who married Jessica in May 2008 - sat pretty in her pushchair and with her long hair tied into a side ponytail, she sat a doll on her lap.

As she headed out for a stroll in New York City, Jessica Alba was looking the epitome of laid-back glam.

She teamed her floral midi skirt with a simple black vest, cardigan and those cool flatforms which really added edge to the look. The shoes are Stella McCartney and we've seen them before...on Kourtney Kardashian of course! But what we love about this look most is how Jessica has managed to make this summery skirt work for the new season. By ditching the more usual sandals and crop top pairing and teaming with these more wintry, heavy shoes instead, Jessica has really nailed the transition. Once again, Jessica nailed a bohemian-chic ensemble that comprised a charcoal scarf and flashy gold-tint sunglasses.

She teamed the accessories with a deep grey maxi skirt that threatened to hide her chunky platform sandals which elevated her 5ft 7" frame.

Highlighting her glowing complexion, was a glossy touch of pink lipstick and a peachy hue of blusher.
