Food fight! Miley Cyrus shares Instagram snap of herself covered in cake along with quirky video to promote her new album
Miley Cyrus is known for her crazy hijinks, most recently put on display as she hosted the 2015 MTV Video Music Awards.
So it should be no surprise that the 22-year-old's Instagram is filled with wild pictures, such as one shared on Wednesday of the star covered in cake.
'Best friends love cake!' Miley wrote beside the picture, in which she sported a black and red one-piece swimsuit covered in red and white mushrooms while modeling a face full of icing.

Her blonde locks were pulled back into a ponytail, while she could be seen sitting on the ground, with her hands on the floor for balance as she leaned up into the camera.
She was joined by a friend in a bright pink dress, who had part of the two-toned frock pulled up over her head, covering her face.
Both women have cake on their arms and legs in the photo, and the dessert can be seen smeared all over the kitchen floor and cabinets as well.
While the cover for Miley's new album - Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, released as a surprise following her hosting gig at the MTV VMAs - is the star with her face covered in sprinkles, glitter, and icing, perhaps she wanted to recreate that image.
Or maybe the former Hannah Montana star simply wanted to have a food fight, and document the messy results for her 28.2M followers.
Miley also shared a video ahead of the messy, cake shot, in which she sports the same patterned bathing suit.

She accessorizes with a beaded yellow necklace in the clip, with two bejeweled flower stickers by each eye.
Miley begins the stream-of-consciousness chatter in the video by noting something 'Weirdly smells good,' before adding: 'And I lick your teeth. Why the f*** would I wanna lick your teef? But I do.'
She similarly captioned the seemingly random video, in which the star was actually teasing lyrics from one of the new songs from Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, BB Talk.
Miley also posted the link to her newly-released, 23-song album as a caption to the quirky Instagram video.
