Interior designers Nate Berkus and Jeremiah Brent are now the proud owners of a luxurious apartment located in the lower Fifth area of New York City.

The happily wed pair, who tied the knot last year, covered the October issue of Architectural Digest with their darling one-year-old daughter Poppy.

Brent, 30, dished about the experience: 'We couldn’t stop thinking about the apartment, believing we were meant to live there. And then, suddenly, we were able to create the home of our dreams.'

The couple invested into their high-end apartment with their growing bundle of joy in mind, who was welcomed to the world last March via a surrogate.

Making sure to have a nursery room to offer their blue-eyed little one, 43-year-old Berkus explained: 'We knew we wanted to have a family and that we wanted to raise our child in New York.'

Both designers added their own unique touches to the Manhattan-based residence, which features French limestone floors, a 19th century pedestal table, and a Matt Conors painting on the ivory walls.

Brent added: 'The energy we discovered working on our home together is unlike anything else … It’s really unfiltered. We do our best work when we are together.'

American Dream Builders host Nate was originally based in New York, while Jeremiah and his flourishing design business took off in Los Angeles.

After dating for nine months, the two designers ended up falling for each other and became engaged on a Peruvian mountaintop.

No stranger to the Big Apple, Jeremiah and Nate later made history during their star-studded wedding ceremony at New York City's famed public library.

The pair was married by Oprah Winfrey Network co-president Sheri Salata in May 2014 - making them the first same sex couple ever to have wed there.

Since their breathtaking nuptials, the pair has been working hard on building their family and home lives as well as their careers.

Nate, who rose to fame as as Oprah's home-design guru, noted how their choice neighborhood near the West 11th and 10th streets, has a 'unique magic.'

Also featured in their extravagant flat is two equally huge walk-in closets for both stars to fully stock with their fashion-forward ensembles.

Poppy's room features it's own posh design, with a changing table, spotted rug and a dream-catcher dangling nearby her white crib.

Also centered in her play area is a handwoven photograph of Joshua Tree National Park by artist Fernando Bengoecha, who was Nate's former partner.

He tragically died in the 2004 tsunami that struck Thailand, thus Jeremiah says: 'That work is central to Nate’s life.'

Jeremiah added: 'Everyone should be able to sit in a room with pieces that spark memories. If you create the feeling that a home is a vessel for stories and memories, you have succeeded.'

Their brightly illuminated living room features mostly vintage furnishings—roomy 1960s club chairs, a Jansen brass cocktail table with a smoked-glass top, and a plush sofa.

Nate noted that although he has his own expertise when it comes to modeling his home, he looks back and recognizes that before he met Jeremiah, 'I had sort of stopped seeing...being with him—I was rejuvenated.'

Jeremiah revealed that he too was in disbelief after sealing the deal, saying to his partner: 'we have to treasure this.'

Berkus finished by saying: 'Great design is like great love: You trust your gut.'
