The Australian singer admitted that she has been single for so long that she can no longer remember what it feels like to go through heartbreak.

Speaking in an interview with The Daily Telegraph, the 40-year-old candidly said: ‘I have been single for so long, sweetheart, I can’t even remember. I am serious.’

However, the Sydney-born beauty is still hoping to find a lasting romance as she continued: ‘I am a romantic. Like any other girl, I dream about finding love or mourning over love lost, so I can draw from that to connect with a song.

‘Because I am in the public eye, people are always looking to pin you down to say your music is about one thing or another. But this is my album and these are songs for me.’

Natalie was previously married to Silverchair lead singer Daniel Johns in 2003 but the pair split just five years later claiming the relationship broke down due to the long distance between them.

Still single, former X Factor judge Natalie revealed to KIISFM that she was considering joining the dating app Tinder last year.

The multi-award winning Torn singer has been making her way through Europe plugging the release of the album, following a six-year hiatus from music. 

She has been keeping to a tightly packed promotional schedule, with a recent TV appearance in London.

'At first I was going to do an album of my favourite songs but then I realised that it was more fun doing men's songs,' she said to ITV's Lorriane. 

'Then people aren't comparing, it's just different.' 

She previously told Today about her latest musical offering, stating: 'It's a very vocally driven album, very acoustically.'
