Grantchester stars James Norton, Robson Green and Tessa Peake-Jones share a giggle on Cambridge set as filming continues
It may be a serious drama series but the cast of Grantchester couldn't help cracking up as they filmed scenes in the village of the same name just outside Cambridge on Wednesday.
James Norton, Robson Green and Tessa Peake-Jones were pictured giggling with glee on the picturesque set as they continued to shoot scenes for the second season of the ITV detective drama.
Handsome James - who plays leading star Reverend Sidney Chambers - ditched his religious robe and was dressed in a pair of brown trousers, a white shirt which he wore unbuttoned and a pair of braces for the off-duty outing.

Robson - who plays his right-hand man Detective Inspector Geordie Keating - appeared to be the main source of the cast's humour.
Tessa (Mrs Maguire), who is best known for playing Raquel in Only Fools and Horses, couldn't contain her laughter as the Casualty star entertained the group.
Kacey Ainsworth (Cathy Keating), who rose to prominence playing Little Mo in EastEnders, also joined the main characters.

Neil Morrissey was pictured for the first time on set of the 1950s-set crime drama and was seen sporting a greying moustache.
The Men Behaving Badly actor, who is best known for playing Tony in the popular sitcom, embraced his character's dated wardrobe and looked dapper in a grey cable knit sleeveless jumper, striped shirt and grey trousers.
His guest part is a marked changed from his role as the lead character's womanising flatmate in the British comedy as he plays a villager whose daughter is killed in suspicious circumstances.

On a mission to find Miss Right: Sidney is still single and Geordie makes it his mission to find him a woman but the handsome vicar clearly still only has eyes for Amanda Kendall (Morven Christie) - whom we last saw when she was about to marry Sidney’s rival Guy (Tom Austen)
Grantchester is a small-screen adaptation of crime-fiction book series The Grantchester Mysteries by James Runcie and the first series pulled in an average of 6.6 million viewers when it debuted in October 2014.
The final episode saw Geordie (Robson's character) shot on duty.
A year on, he appears to have put this behind him but underneath his carefree exterior there are new feelings of vulnerability, and this puts a strain on his relationship with Cathy (Kacey), and his friendship with Sidney (James).

The six new episodes will be filmed in London and Grantchester as well as in Cambridge's city centre.
ITV's Director of Drama, Steve November, has said the second series is 'deeper and darker' than the first.
He explained: 'The new series promises six new episodes filled with mystery, intrigue and character driven plots, with lots of twists and turns. Whist the drama is set in a beautiful, picturesque village, we’ll be delving deeper and darker than before.'
The new series was initially set to air in late 2015 but the new episodes have now been pushed back to 2016.
