Heavily-pregnant Samia Ghadie shows off her baby bump in a low-key outfit as she hits the shops just weeks before due date

She's currently on maternity leave from her role as Maria Connor in Coronation Street. 

And Samia Ghadie proved she isn't too long from meeting her little boy as the star showed off her burgeoning bump whilst out hitting the shops in Wilmslow, Cheshire, on Wednesday morning.

The 33-year-old actress looked to be feeling the Autumnal chill as she wrapped herself up beneath a woolly jumper and puffy body warmer.

Pregnancy certainly looks good on the soap star as she ditched the make-up in favour of showing off her naturally glowing skin.

The former Dancing On Ice contestant teamed her woolly top with black skinny jeans, taupe ankle boots with fringed detailing and a coordinating leather handbag. 

Her balayage locks were swept into an effortless ponytail, though her fringe was left out to frame her pretty face.

Samia - who is expecting a baby with French ice dancer Sylvain Longchambon - is just weeks away from her due date, and it seems her tot is getting restless. 

'Think our little boy is trying to Kung fu his way out of my belly! gonna miss these little kicks when he is here.. #notyetbaby,' the actress quipped on Twitter on Tuesday. 

The soap star recently shared details of her birthing plan, confirming it's likely she'll opt to have a Caesarean section, like she did with daughter Freya Smith, five.

Writing in her fortnightly OK! Online column, she said: 'At least I know what to expect. That makes me both relieved and nervous in equal measures though, from what I remember, the recovery from the op is the worse part as it will take about six weeks before I feel able to get back to normal.'

She and Sylvain confirmed they were dating in March 2013 after much speculation, which also saw their romance blamed for the dancer's break-up with Hollyoaks actress Jennifer Metcalfe.

The pair maintained they got together after the split and not a moment before.

They announced they were expecting their first child together on Twitter in March this year and became engaged in May which they also confirmed with a social-media post.

Samia was previously married to property developer Matthew Smith - who is the father of her daughter - and the couple announced they'd separated in January 2011.
